Dear friends and colleagues!
The strategy of Steve Jobs co-founder of Apple is unmistakingly “We don’t have a lot of traditions at Apple besides making great products”.
The expectations that Job sets for his product and software developers is felt thru out all of the Apple products like the iPod, iPhone, iMac or iBook. These products are designed well and are considered feel good devices not only to the touch but for the individual user. It is true not only for the device itself but also for the innovative software like iTunes. Apple no doubt displays the most relentless ambition toward its fan base and constantly strives to satisfy the consumer with top features. These features enthuse the user and allow them to take from the competition and develop this into something huge.
How does one make a great product?
I am convinced that it cannot be accomplished without undivided passion nor without the daily correction, reflection, disregarding and starting from scratch. Surprisingly the passion to develop something great is mainly produced with very limited or very few resources. It is a well known cornerstone of all of our life’s and only when we lack something in our lives are we willing to compromise and find new ways and thank our own innovation in the end.

Steve Wozniak (left) and Steve Jobs (right) in the early days of Apple
Steve Wozniak, second co-founder of Apple tried numerous times in the early 1970’s to convince his then employer Hewlett Packard to built a completely new personal computer. We can now thank HP for this because of their foolishness and ignorance they made it possible to take the technological genius Wozniak, the sales genius Jobs and the engineer Ronald Wayne and start the Apple Computer Company on April 1, 1976. The starting capital of the Apple Corporation was then a mere 1750 dollar and as the story is told the money was raised by Jobs selling his VW and Steve Wozniak’s sale of his HP pocket calculator.
What can we learn from this story? Companies that count on a lot of money and large resources face sometimes many problems being innovative. When there is no lack for anything there is little room left open for creativity and innovation. In other words sometimes less is more.
One more reason for Xavo to „think different, be innovative and have fun.”
Everything is going to be alright.
Best Regards
