Only a few days ago we showed Lab Collaboration the first time in public during the MipTec conference. The main question is always the same: “Why is this workflow management application better than others?” The answer is pretty simple: It is not just another workflow app, but also a real-time collaboration platform.
Out of the feedback from the MipTec 2009 and the ALA 2010 we designed an application which helps to improve your daily lab work. Our main ambition is to reduce the administrative work to the minimum while optimizing the monitoring and interaction scope through real-time collaboration, without any boundaries. You can define workflows and publish them as services you want to provide others. Everyone can use such services within their own workflows. By adopting the provider/consumer and request/order principle, complex workflows are easier to maintain and to observe.
The life of a factory manager has become increasingly difficult in recent years. Managing a plant at peak efficiency levels requires a complex balancing of many factors. Intricate factory floor plans, large numbers of products and variants and frequent and unexpected events must be managed correctly in order to minimize their effect on production times, delivery dates and costs. It is a real challenge to keep all production processes synchronized.
Xavo and iFactory recently published and article in the Tobacco Reporter magazine about the benefits of Real-time scheduling (with true optimization) in the tobacco industry.

Short News: the presentations from the Xavo team at the User Group Informatics are available for public download now. The introduction was held by Detlef Riedel where he depicted that Drug Discovery is moving to a more collaborative work model in future. Thomas Wedehase gave a deep insight in what the challenges of Compound Logistics are and why IT is essential to solve the logistical problems.

Today was the first day of Europeans Leading Event for Drug Discovery, MipTec 2010 in Basel. In the third consecutive year of Xavo’s engagement at this event, our team shows you our newest product development results in the next four days: Zea Lab Logistics and Zea Lab Collaboration. Both products are the results of Xavo’s ReFocus on Science™ concept, which was already shown the years before.
We’re glad having introduced the Usergroup Informatics at MipTec (Program PDF, 0.2 MB). We had over 240 reservations for the usergroup meeting scheduled this morning.
We look forward to the other days of the fair and to your visit at the Xavo Booth J41.
Best regards
Your Xavo Team
