Since 2003 Xavo is developing and maintaining the specification management system RaDIS for British American Tobacco Germany (BAT). The system has about 300 users in europe and supports them with their daily work in product development. In our newest success story we want to show you the history of the project and the reasons for the success of the application.

One of our global customers implemented a Track & Trace solution according to international requirements like the ones coming from the World Health Organization. The project is in production use for a couple of months now. Xavo took over major roles like project management in the manufacturing part, software & interface design, parts of the software development and last but not least the support services for a part of the solution.
Im September 2007 wurde mir die Verantwortung als Projektleiter übertragen, mit einem zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht definierten Projektteam, ein MES-System für den Katalysatorenhersteller Argillon zu entwicklen. Ein von Argillon intern entwickeltes System, dass über viele Jahre gewachsen war, sollte durch dieses neue MES-System abgelöst werden. Das Projekt wurde aufgrund der Gesamtgröße in 5 Projektstufen aufgeteilt.
Nach den ersten Projektgesprächen mit dem zuständigen Projektleiter von Argillon, Herrn Thomas Dietz, wurde mir klar, dass dies ein sehr interessantes aber auch sehr komplexes Projekt werden würde.
