Uwe Schey (TabExpo 2011 - a great success)
Detlef Riedel (Danke, Steve!)

The Mission

Our mission is to support scientists and lab employees with intelligent solutions so that they can ReFocus on Science.

Challenge

Do you currently spend too much time on non-scientific tasks like ordering materials, tracking inventory, monitoring timelines and waiting for feedback?

Most of the existing laboratory workflows therefore call for the close interaction with internal and external facilities. These interdependencies and related logistics require additional time and effort for planning and supervising activities.

Today’s laboratory scientists have to define, execute and monitor a lot of processes which have essentially increased in complexity due to advances in scientific methods, lab automation and information technology.

Workflows, Logistics & Data

The laboratory workflows of the future have to be integrated seamlessly with the growing number of internal and external dependencies. During the creation of his individual workflows the scientist can use whichever service is provided by the facility. The communication between the two parties is done via common command sets.

Conclusion

Our cutting-edge ReFocus on Science strategy allows scientists to synchronise all of their laboratory activities, workflows and data.

Our Experiences

The first pilot implementations at world-leading R&D Laboratories showed that our ReFocus on Science Strategy increased visibility, flexibility and efficiency in day-to-day Lab Workflows significantly. So far, many of our expectations regarding improved transparency and productivity were met. We learned that the best way for implementing the proposed solutions is the usage of a bottom-up approach where all takeholders keep the flexibility for their individual process design.

A new era of scientific work

Our approach relieves scientists from tons of troublesome work and allows them to focus on their core competencies. With lessons learned in drug manufacturing, we provide you with innovative, easy-to-use and highly adaptive solutions to manage interdependencies, logistics and data dynamics in your laboratory.
